Our projects often involve working with, conserving and restoring historic and interesting buildings.  These range from Grade 1 listed buildings to barns and country houses which may not be listed but have significant social, historical and landscape importance.
In many cases, in addition to the sensitive restoration of the existing fabric and where it is not appropriate to recreate original features, modern designs are inserted within the original structure in accordance with good conservation practice.  Examples of this are the insertion of the mezzanine and access bridge at the 18th Century Assembly Rooms in Knutsford and the lightweight cedar clad glazed extensions to an ancient stone house in Marple.
