Piccolino restaurant in central Manchester is located within a Grade II listed Edwardian building close to Albert Square and Manchester’s splendid gothic town hall.

In deference to both the building and the commercial history of the city, the oak panelling has been reinstated, complementing the sumptuous soft red leather of the banquette seating.  The walls are lined with glass fronted display cabinets, accessed via an oak ladder.

The bar counter is moulded pewter designed to patinate with use and its appearance improve over time.  The original lantern light in the lower part of the restaurant has been restored and retained.

The design of Manchester Piccolino Restaurant was so successful that it became the blueprint for subsequent urban Piccolino restaurants.
