Our client’s brief was to restore and convert the upper storeys of a vacant and neglected Edwardian bank building in the historic setting of Alderley Edge to offices for a major finance company. Although the building is not listed the intention was to recreate historically appropriate internal spaces, for which we are particularly suited with our specialist knowledge of Architectural History and the Conservation of historic and significant buildings.
The design also includes a modern extension, providing open plan office areas taking full advantage of natural light.
Also included are both open and private meeting rooms, the boardroom, social and training spaces, a car port for directors’ cars and outdoor terraces for entertaining and relaxing.
The project is currently on site.
